# OLED Guard Pro > OLED Guard Pro is an OLED burn-in protection app for Windows. It reduces burn-in risk by detecting static pixels, HUDs, taskbars, and bright UI in real time, using a GPU-accelerated, content-aware per-pixel exposure model. It keeps working inside borderless fullscreen games, typically with under 1% GPU overhead. Available on the Microsoft Store and Steam. A free edition covers single-display desktop protection; the Pro edition adds fullscreen game and video protection, multi-monitor support, all protection modes, app profiles, and DDC/CI brightness control. Version 5 adds Game IQ, which learns persistent game HUD regions locally and helps protect them faster in fullscreen Gaming sessions, plus a continuous presentation engine for smoother dimming and faster response. Platform note: OLED Guard Pro is Windows-only today (Windows 10 and 11). Mac and Linux / Steam Deck support is planned for the future. Honest scope: OLED Guard Pro reduces the statistical risk of OLED burn-in. It does not guarantee a burn-in-free panel and cannot reverse burn-in that already exists. ## Core pages - [Home](https://oledguard.com/): What OLED Guard Pro is, its key features, and where to download it. - [What is OLED burn-in](https://oledguard.com/docs/what-is-burn-in): How OLED burn-in forms (exposure is brightness multiplied by time on the same pixel) and why static content causes it. - [How it works](https://oledguard.com/docs/how-it-works): The engine, including DXGI Desktop Duplication capture, the GPU per-pixel exposure model, and the content-aware protective overlay. - [Pixel shift vs content-aware protection](https://oledguard.com/pixel-shift): How pixel shift, screensavers, and a monitor's built-in OLED-care cycles compare to real-time content-aware protection, and where each falls short. - [OLED protection for gaming](https://oledguard.com/gaming): Edge-weighted, content-aware protection that keeps working inside borderless fullscreen games. - [Game IQ](https://oledguard.com/game-iq): Learned game HUD protection (new in v5).
